Brick

In part two of Vancouver explorations with my cousin we ventured down to Gastown. Although again most of our time was spent taking pictures we also went to Revolver Cafe. Both of us had never been there before, but were thoroughly impressed. All the drinks are made fresh to order and you get to watch them brew each one in Chemed coffeemakers. It definitely lived up to the hype.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

After the rain

Hi everyone! Today I walked around New West with my cousin Celine. During our hunt for picture locations, we stumbled on the store Brick and Mortar Living on 6th Street. We didn't take any photos there but I would definitely suggest checking it out if you're in the area. They have tons of local products and artisan goods - their Instagram is @brickandmortarliving

"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us"

It's been months since my last post but with winter break in full swing I'm hoping to make up for lost time. Here's a quick outfit to get things rolling. It was fairy overcast and with an all black outfit not all the details can be seen, especially the cut of the blazer but rest assured it will be making an appearance in posts to come.

Luxe

Growing up my affinity for Sporty Spice was about the closest I ever got to being a "sporty girl", but nonetheless I still find myself drawn to an athletic look. I recently got the black jogger pants from a Jacob sale and thought it fitting to pair it with my sports bra for a more minimalistic look and an opportunity to play with the style. The blazer dresses it up and keeps with the all black theme while the jewelry further brings it out of the casual realm. I've been on the hunt for a jersey midi skirt and some new sneakers so hopefully more athletic looks to come!

Sunlit

Unlike my typical dark clothed self, I've been attracted to a lot of light colours lately and wanted to put together something to represent this change while also incorporating some new pieces I got. Everything (minus the shoes) were on sale so check out the stores and online!

Hey everyone! Just a few photos of my outfit today. I had the day off so I went to the mall with my sister and got a couple of nice jackets from H&M that I will style and post soon. Hope you're all having a lovely day. Enjoy!

- MUSIC BREAK -
My cousin recently introduced me to the group Milky Chance and I thought I'd share a song. Their EP is available on iTunes (in Canada; album "Sadnecessary" can be bought in full elsewhere) for a few dollars but there's also tons on YouTube if you're interested in hearing more. Dangerously catchy, be prepared to unintentionally hum them all day.

Boy Inspired

I've always been someone drawn to the more androgynous look on a girl, I mean, who says a great pant suit should only be exclusive to men? Hence, this post is dedicated to button-up collared shirts and dress shoes.

I definitely went casual with this, so it's perfect for anyone wanting to test out the trend without jumping into tailored blazers, matching pants, and neckwear. As a base, button ups and distressed denim are a classic and easy spring/summer look but what pushes this into the menswear realm is the thin baby blue pinstripes on the top and the brown leather accents, namely the Oxford shoes. I purchased them recently at Spring along with a black pair (they were both on sale - the black ones came to around $12 and the brown ones $20) if there is no store near you they are still available on the website here.
